Wargames Rules 1685-1845 by Phil Barker. Published by Wargames Research Group July 1979. 48 page paperback book with two identical quick reference cards. 44 pages of rules followed by three pages of specimen army lists for Marlburian, Seven Years War and Early Indian Wars. Alternative basing and scales are supplied for figures ranging from 5mm to 30mm. The approximate ratio is 1 figure represents 40-50 men. Standard six sided dice are used throughout. The rules incorporate an alternate move system. This set of rules has been in use, primarily for Seven Years War and the Napoleonic Wars, for over 40 years and it is now out of print. There are some scuffs and marks to the cover, and the staples are corroded but the binding is secure. The first two or three pages are discoloured (probably by damp) at the bottom of the page but the print is still clearly legible. The picture shown is representative of the title but is not of the copy offered here.
