303 page illustrated hardback manual plus a 24 page colour graphic artwork story split between the front and the back of the book. There are numerous monochrome illustrations throughout.
The following is taken from the Introduction to the first edition:
“What you hold in your hands is a game of make believe, of storytelling. It will allow you to assume the role of a werewolf, a tortured creature of rage and pride, and to tell stories about your adventures. In the end, however, this game is more about you than it is about werewolves, for it is of you that the stories are told.”
From the introduction to the second edition:
“The acrid air is heavy
with hate, and a question
hangs in the haze – when will you rage?”
A story telling game of savage horror by Mark Rein-Hagen”
The following is taken from Wikipedia:
“In the game, players take the role of werewolves known as Garou (from the French 'loup garou'). These Garou are usually warriors who are locked in a two-front war against both the spiritual desolation of urban civilization and supernatural forces of corruption that seek to bring about the Apocalypse.”
There are some very minor scuffs and marks to the cover, contents virtually as new.
