192 page large format clothbound book (238mm x 340mm) with red lettering and intact dust jacket. The contents after the foreword and introduction are arranged chronologically. The last two pages provide an index. There are numerous archive photographs, with some drawings, maps and diagrams and excerpts from articles of the time.

There is some very minor discolouration to the page edges, otherwise virtually as new.
