268 page paperback book. In this book Abraham of Wurzburg, a cabalist and connoisseur of magic describes a tour that he made of the then civilized world visiting sorcerers, magicians, etc. The high point of Abraham’s travels was found in a small town on the banks of the Nile, where he encountered the great magician Abramelin, whose complete system Abraham sets out in detail. This amounts to a complete course in magic which the student can pursue by himself. This book was used by Aleister Crowley when working out his system of magic at the beginning of the 20th Century.
No guarantees are given that Abramelin’s techniques work, nor that the results are desirable. It is offered as a genuine medieval course in magic, and an important book in the history of occultism.
This book is used and the cover has suffered some scuffs and marks and the page edges are discoloured. However, the binding is secure and all internal content is legible.
