“The Ladies Cabinet Opened Wherein is found hidden severall experiments in preserving and conserving, Physicke and Surgery, Cookery and Huswifery” London 1639
32 page A5 booklet. The following is taken from the Introduction.
This book is a transcription of the culinary recipes only from the Ladies Closet Opened of 1639. Spelling and punctuation have been retained and a substantial number of medicinal and perfumery recipes have been omitted.
Anyone wishing to reproduce one of the dishes may need to use a little imagination in interpreting the text. These old recipes may mention ingredients that may no longer be regarded as legal or safe, and some care should be taken in attempting to reproduce them.
There are some minor scuffs and marks to the cover and very minor corrosion to the staples but all internal content is clean and legible.
