Principles of War Colonial Army Lists 1838-1915 by T. M. Penn. Copyright 1996 T. M. Penn. A supplement to the Principles of War Colonial Rules published 1995. These have been superseded by the more recent “19th Century Principles of War” rules and army lists.
A4 plastic ringbound booklet containing 70 Army Lists divided into three sections:

Early period 1815-1866. Has native armies numbered 1-11 and European armies numbered 12-24. Native armies include Afghan, Boer Trekkers, Indian Mutineers and Persian. European armies include four British variants, French North African, Mexican and Texan.
- High Colonial period 1867-1898. Native armies are numbered 25-33 and European armies 34-46. Native armies include American Indians, Haddendowa, Pathan and Zulu. European armies include American, Belgian, three British and two Italian.
- Late Colonial period 1899 and after. Native armies numbered 47-55 and European armies 56-70. Native armies include 2 Boer, Boxer Rebellion, Moroccan and Mexican Revolution. The European armies include two American, four British, two German, The Peking Relief force and South African WWI.
Some minor marks and discolouration to the cover and binding, but all internal content is clean and legible.
