Unpainted 25mm white metal models from the Naismith Design Late Medieval range. This finely detailed range of models was designed over 30 years ago and was produced for many years by Navwar Productions Ltd. Ilford, UK.
LM5 Late Medieval shields. Ten identical models, curved at the top and bottom, measuring approximately 8mm x8mm.
The drawing comes from the Wargames Research Group book Armies of the Middle Ages Vol 1 by Ian Heath. It shows a marching crossbowman with a similar shield slung on his back. The depiction comes from a late 15th Century manuscript. Similar shaped shields are also recorded as being used by jousting knights.
Supplied with the original packaging, condition of the models as new.
