We believe that the figures in this range are largely derived from the book Armies and Enemies of Imperial Rome by Phil Barker published by Wargames Research Group.
ZC18 Late Roman Cavalry Command. Four different riders mounted on identical horses with cloth barding. The riders comprise:
- Officer. He wears a helmet with large crest, lamellar armour and cloak. He brandishes a sword in his right hand and has an oval shield on his left arm.
- Standard bearer. He wears a helmet with large crest, armour and cloak. He holds the standard in his right hand and an oval shield on his left arm.
- Musician. The unarmoured figure wears a helmet with crest and blows a tuba (straight trumpet) held in his right hand. He holds a small round shield in his left hand.
- Heavy cavalry trooper (ZC10?)
Sold in the original packaging. Condition of the figures as new.
