Unpainted 15mm white metal models from the Minifigs Imperial Rome range. Manufactured by Miniature Figurines Ltd., Southampton, UK.
We believe that the figures in this range are largely derived from the book Armies and Enemies of Imperial Rome by Phil Barker published by Wargames Research Group.
These Early Byzantine (493-578AD) figures are suitable for use in Army List number 4 from the DBM Army Lists Book 3 published by Wargames Research Group, which includes the armies of Belisarius and Narses.
Z27 Byzantine crossbowmen. Eight identical figures. The unarmoured, bareheaded, figure wears a knee-length tunic and breeches. He is in firing pose with a quiver of bolts on his right hip and a small round shield hanging from his belt on his left hip. He stands approximately 16mm tall.
Please note that to reduce the number of miscasts on crossbow infantry Minifigs designed the figures with the crossbow vertical and with a twist in the crossbow stock. So the protective sprue needs to be removed and the crossbow turned into the correct position.
Supplied in the original packaging, which has suffered some handling damage. Condition of the models as new.
