Large format paperback book (275mm x 345mm). Photographic reproduction of English language newspaper front pages, including British, American and Commonwealth newspapers, supplying the news towards the end of the Second World War. There are eight pages of Introduction and approximately 120 different front pages. These front pages are taken from the collection belonging to John Frost.
For me, the headline news is much less interesting than the small adverts and social/news information at the bottom of the columns. Much of the information included in this book can today be recovered from the internet but the modern media does not have the impact of reading these pages.
There is some minor foxing on the title page and some discolouration to the page edges. However, the binding is secure and all internal content is clean and legible.Number in stock: 1
