Unpainted 54mm plastic model from the Café Storme Celtic range of plastic figures that were given away by this Belgian company with 500g packs of their coffee in the 1960s.
Fisherman. The bareheaded figure wears only a short sleeveless one-shouldered tunic with bare legs and feet. He holds his fishing spear in his right hand and has his left arm and hand extended to balance his separately cast pole carrying his catch. He stands approximately 58mm tall.
The base of the figure is marked in Dutch and French: II 14 Pecheur, Menapien, Menapier, Visser. One edge of the base is marked C W Storme and the other edge is marked B.C.K. 300 – 57.
Condition virtually as new.
