By Air and Sea: Rules for Air and Naval Landings for Corps Commander Rules. © Copyright B. A. Rea Taylor and Tabletop Games June 1988. Published in the UK by Tabletop Games.
84 page paperback book (17 x 22.5cm). The Introduction reads:
“This book is a supplement to Corps Commander’s OMG and a set of OMG rules is required to be used in conjunction with these rules.
Extensive rules, organisations and equipment details are included for all Airborne operations and, in an abstract way, amphibious assaults. The army lists include all of the remainder of the NATO countries even Luxembourg! Together with WARPAC air and naval assault units. Operations on NATO’s Northern and Southern flanks can now be simulated including overseas reinforcements and special forces.”
Contents:
Part 1 Rules
· Airborne Operations
· Supplementary Rules for Snow, Mountains and Special Forces
· Amphibious Operations
· Rule amendments to OMG
Part 2 Army Lists for twenty nations, the majority of which are European.
Part 3 Equipment data charts for eighteen nations, again the majority are European
Even if you don’t own a copy of the Corps Commander rules the scholarship of Bruce Rea Taylor in assembling data on the post WWII modern period should be recognised. It would be difficult to find another book which assembles all this data in a comprehensive manner.
This book is new and unused, but has suffered some slight scuffing and marks, together with some fading, to the cover. However, all internal content is clean and legible.
