32 page paperback A5 booklet which, quoting from the introduction, tells the story of the failures and victories of a number of generals and officers in both Union and Confederate Armies of the American Civil War during the last campaign west of the Mississippi River in 1864.
There are three sketch maps in the booklet including a map for the Battle of Westport 23rd October, 1864. The final page of the book gives outline orders of battle for both Confederate and Union armies taking part in the campaign which can be used for recreating the conflict on the tabletop.
The book is in an as new condition.
