The pages are numbered from 1-62 and as regiments are listed alphabetically they proceed from Sir Thomas Ayloff’s Foot to the Earl of Manchester’s Foot. The only illustrations are a few of the colours of the Cornets of Horse. This book includes the contents, introduction and chronology for both volumes.

The pages are numbered from 63-120 and as regiments are listed alphabetically they proceed from Col Mazaries Horse to Sir John Wittrough’s Foot. This is followed by two appendices – Appendix 1 Train of Artillery and Appendix 2 Unidentified officers. The only illustrations are a few of the colours of the Cornets of Horse.
The details on the regiments in both volumes attempt to list named officers and personnel and also, where known, uniform information – the colour of jackets being the most common.
