The only colour illustration is on the front cover and is of a Cadet and Sergeant of the Colonial Compagnies Franches de la Marine circa 1750-1755. Watercolour by Eugene Leliepvre.
A scholarly treatise dealing predominantly with French uniforms and weapons of the 17th and 18th century, mainly in Canada.
New and unused, but this copy has suffered some very minor handling damage – largely as a result of posting from North America to Wiltshire.
