Depictions of Sophie, a succubus, (i.e. a voluptuous female demon with bat like wings) have been used for many years in the advertising artwork and catalogues promoting Reaper fantasy miniatures. They had the bright idea of converting the two dimensional Sophie into a three dimensional casting and have produced these models, normally with a Christmas theme, on an annual basis. They proved so popular that production was not restricted to the specific year of origin and five different models were listed in the 2005 catalogue.
2005 Holiday Sophie catalogue code 1413 designed by Bob Ridolfi is a four piece white metal kit of a scantily clad Sophie hanging up her Christmas stocking with her left hand while holding a warhammer, resting on her shoulder, with her right hand.. She has a separately cast, sheathed, bastard sword which attaches to her left hip. Her wings are cast as a pair in a relaxed pose with a locating point between her shoulder blades. The model stands on a circular textured base (stone flags and Christmas presents) approximately 3 cm in diameter. She stands approximately 68mm tall and the wings, if spread, would have a span of over 10 cm.
New and unused.
Manufactured under licence by Miniature Figurines in the UK.
