Catalogue code number 02-272 Mounted Gargantua Orc Commander mounted on a Death Jaw Reptilian steed from the Ral Partha Fantasy Armies range. 25mm models made from lead free pewter. We believe the model was manufactured by Ral Partha Inc, distributed in the UK by Ral Partha Europe Ltd.
A large armoured orc with a spiked metal helmet. He wields a scimitar in his right hand and carries a separately cast wooden shield on his left arm with a skull boss. His mount is unusual in that it is a multi-part casting of a bipedal dinosaur-like beast with a padded saddle bearing a carved skull on the front support. Further skulls and heads hang from the harness. The whole model is supplied with an irregularly shaped textured base 45mm x 30mm which is inscribed Ral Partha 1998 by Bob Olley.
The rider is approximately 35mm tall even allowing for his bowed legs, and the assembled mount stands approximately 80mm tall and is approximately 100mm nose to tail. This type of monstrous steed has been named Death Jaw by the manufacturers.
Still sealed in its original blister pack. Condition of the model as new.
